Marty Hoeger was announced the President / CEO of the Neighborhood Development Corporation of Cedar Rapids on June 1, 2010. Marty brings 15 years experience of residential and commercial real estate to the NDC of Cedar Rapids. In the 15 years Marty had negotiated over 40 million dollars in transactions. Along the way he gained experience in the development field working for a family owned real estate development company working as a marketing and project manager for residential, office, medical and retail strip centers.
In February of 2008 Marty became employed with the City of Cedar Rapids as a the Real Estate Disposition Coordinator. His main task were to identify and dispose of under utilized city owned property. In June of 2008 the floods of Cedar Rapids had changed Marty’s roll as a city employee. With over 300 city owned properties damaged Marty led the charge of negotiating short term leases for city operations. Other duties included being the staff liaison for the Replacement Housing Task Force, site negotiations for the Central Library, Central Fire Station and the Inter-modal Facility. Marty also worked as a city staff person for the Neighborhood Planning Process which is the master plan to rebuild the flood affected neighborhoods of Cedar Rapids.
